GOD KNOWS BEST by Odalys Munoz
No matter what you are going through, know that God will always be with you to help guide you. Take me for example: when my mom and I had a car accident when I was just two months old, the hospital doctors told my parents that I wouldn’t make it and to take me off life support, but because of my parents’ faith, I’m still here and made it to the age of 28 years old. Yes, I may wish that I had an everyday life, and my life may not be easy, but every day that God allows me to wake up, I am so grateful for. My mom sometimes asks God why I ended up like this. I keep having to remind her that everything happens for a reason and that He has a plan for all of us.
My grandmother is currently living with my mom, 12-year-old brother, and me. She's now dealing with depression from the recent death in the family, and my mom is at the end of her rope, not knowing how to juggle all of us. But I keep reminding her to never forget who is the ultimate one in control. My mother told me just the other day that every time she used to pray when I was younger, something always happened the very next day to test her faith. Even though she stopped praying for a while, she never lost her faith completely. I know that sometimes I may not be making Him proud, which I'm trying to do better on, but I know that when I need something, He will always be there when I need Him.
I know some of you reading this may be struggling with things far worse than the troubles my family and I are going through. Still, please reach out to God if you feel like you can't handle whatever the problems are alone anymore. If you need someone tangible to talk to, you can always reach out to your pastor, friends, or even me. I genuinely hope that my story helps give everyone reading this the strength to get up every morning and face the day. If I could just reach and help one person, then this article did its job. Until next time God bless everyone.
