Zi Dobre’s Heritage Story
Every detail plays a major role in the quality of the final product. It all starts with a branch that is placed in the soil on the land which has been passed down for generations. The wine garden is like a baby who you see nothing but limitless potential in. Every farmer faces limitless challenges. From the right amount of water, bugs, birds, and wild animals and even environmental conditions. As a matter of fact, the life of the farmer is filled with uncertainty up until the harvest takes place. Even when the night seems to last forever, the farmer must be vigilant in the hopes of a bountiful harvest.
Mr Ondrejmiska gave Huizenga a glimpse into his experience and the lives of his forefathers. Seeing the simple tools used to collect and harvest the grapes left a profound impact on him. From the woven back packs to the wine press, even the simple tools used to create them. The lessons were beyond insightful.
"Mr Ondrejmiska passed down this tradition to his son and my friend, and partner Andrej. Andrej is a very unique individual. He left the family home at an early age under some tough circumstances where he developed his international views and business background. Andrej has such an amazing understanding of the wine making culture, but has taken his knowledge into a pursuit into the power of the grape." Says Paul Huizenga. As an international wine judge, Andrej has had access to a wide range of international connections stretching across the globe. It was at an event where he came across Paolo whose career in international fundraising for underdeveloped countries is noteworthy. It was Pavel that introduced Andrej into the world of Polyphenols and it’s wide range of benefits.
